REPORT LAUNCH:
Civic Needs Assessment of Palestinians in the UK
London, 30th October 2025 - The British Palestinian Committee (BPC) publishes our latest report - a comprehensive civic needs assessment of Palestinians in the UK, the result of two years of dedicated research and engagement since the genocide in Gaza began.
At the heart of the BPC is a commitment to ensuring that our policy advocacy is rooted in the lived realities and collective needs and demands of Palestinians in Britain, with the aim of ensuring the ability of Palestinians to participate fully and equally in British public life.
When the genocide in Gaza began in October 2023, we recognised that the needs of Palestinians in Britain would become greater and more urgent. Many faced trauma, displacement, family separation and deep uncertainty about the future. In response, we initiated a civic needs assessment - the first of its kind for Palestinians in Britain - to better understand the urgent challenges our community faces, and to inform both policy advocacy and community-based responses .
We are publishing this report, along with key recommendations that aim to guide the Palestinian community action, as well as help to raise awareness and provide policy recommendations among UK-based service provision organisations, public bodies and so on.
